About Us
My passion is interior design. It always has been. As a child, I kept my room in constant motion, finding new ways to rearrange furniture, redistribute lighting, declutter and accessorize. When the arrangement possibilities in my own room had been exhausted I moved to other parts of the house. To my delight these changes were marveled at!
Years passed and trends changed...although I still love a shiny, floral chintz. My passion followed me to college where I would spend weekends matching paint colors to a favorite pillow, mirroring my walls, attempting to hang wallpaper and scouring every thrift store, consignment shop, yard sale and fabric store hoping to find just the right item to take home and try.
What seemed to be a dilemma at the time became one of my greatest decorating assets...very little money to allocate to my ever-increasing desire to DESIGN! My hobby had become a challenge. However, I welcomed this challenge as the thrill of the hunt added to the excitement of seeing a space finally come together.
With friends in the same "no dinero" boat as I was, my passion for design soon found its way into many of their homes. They longed for the look but had no idea where to begin with such limited funds. Hours upon hours (and sometimes a few bottles of wine!) were consumed in my friends' homes and offices moving furniture, holding up fabric swatches (usually from the $8/yard store or leftovers from the High Point Furniture Market...Pierre Frey and Brunswig & Fils for $3/yard...SCORE!!), grouping pictures and filling up boxes to take to Goodwill!
I am a wife and a mother of three young girls. Those two things make me happy beyond words (most of the time)!! My second true love is designing. I find the two merging in that it's important with both to hold on to the things you love, treasure the things that make you smile and parade the things that evoke good memories and warm feelings.
Your home's design should be livable, uncluttered and should evoke a true feeling of comfort and happiness. It should be the space you always want to come back to, a resting place and a space that represents you and your "down time". It would be my pleasure to help you create a happy space in your home too.
May your spaces always be Well Put!
